Camp Wiley is a series of four-day and week-long resident camping adventures for Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts at Camp Helendade.
This year's program theme is "Route 66 The Wiley Way!"!
Camp Wiley has a reputation throughout Southern California for providing a quality, fun and educational camping experience for both
Cub Scouts and adults. Space is limited, and we strongly suggest that you make reservations quickly to guarantee your spot!
Cost:
$110.00 - $155.00 per Scout. (Includes free Camp T-Shirt)
$55.00 - $75.00 per registered adult. For every five (5) boys paid, one leader goes free.
MEALS: Any person with dietary needs, such as; no dairy, etc., or vegetarian, Please call Shirley (909) 867-1083
at least two weeks before date of camp.
DEPOSIT: A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 per Scout is to be turned in at time of reservation. One Pack
reservation accepted per Session. (No den reservations accepted for same session. Get all your dens together and
make one reservation for the session.) A unit may attend multiple sessions with a separate reservation sheet for
each. A $5 transaction fee will be added to your balance for each transfer request made from the original reservation
date. Fee balance is due on or before May 3, 2006.
UNIT/CAMPER INCENTIVES: Deadline for final fees is on or before May 3rd. Leaders should pre-purchase a
camp T-shirt for $10.00. T-SHIRTS ARE PROVIDED TO EACH REGISTERED YOUTH. Please include
shirt sizes with your Camp Wiley roster, along with final payment in May. No size-no shirt; we order at deadline
time—don’t delay! No exchanges can be made on T-shirt size at camp… be exact when ordering. ( Add $2.00 for
each 2XL, 3XL). It is highly recommended for Adults to preorder and pay for leader shirts when making unit
reservation.
BSA GUIDELINES: At least one parent must attend for every Cub Scout in grades 2 and 3 . There must be 2
adults to every 8 boys in grades 4 and 5, not necessarily a parent. For every 5 boys paid, one adult goes free.
DEN CHIEFS: One Den Chief (at least 14 years old) per 8 boys is encouraged. Den Chief pays adult fee
($55.00/$75.00) but does not qualify as a leader for the ratio above guideline.
MULTIPLE WEEKS DISCOUNT: Campers are more than welcome to attend a second or even third time and
will receive a $5.00 discount on any additional session(s). Why not go to our Tribe of Wisumahi, (2nd Year
Webelos), or Transition Camp, (1st Year Boy Scouts). Please see those resident camp flyers.
CAMPERSHIP ASSISTANCE: Application for assistance for week long campers is available, but funds are
limited. Applications are available at the Council offices. A reservation form must be turned in along with your
Campership form. Camperships are very limited and do not guarantee you a spot. You must turn in both forms along
with the $50.00 deposit.
JOIN OUR STAFF: Volunteers needed. If you have a talent or desire to learn, why not fill out a Camp Staff
Application. You may be just who/what Wiley needs. (Minimum age is 14 years.) Interested in joining our staff for

LEADERS GUIDE: A complete Leader’s Guide will be mailed to the designated pack when your deposit is
received by the Council. All camp forms (ex: Medical Consent, Activities Permission, Health, etc.) will be mailed or
handed out at the C.I.E.C. Camp Adult/ Leader Orientation meeting on May 3rd at 7:00 pm and are also available
at the Council offices. All forms are due upon check-in at Camp. No form, no stay, sorry. There is a camp leader
walk-through June 3rd, at 1 pm.
SIBLINGS: This camp is designated for Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts only. Situations do arise for a tag along
sibling. They are not included in any programs and pay the adult fee.
CLOSING CAMPFIRE: Parents are encouraged to come to the closing campfire on the last evening of your son’s
camp. If you will be coming for dinner please make pre-paid reservations at the time of check-in for all guests.
All meals must be paid for at time of check-in. Dinner tickets are $5.00. Other visitor meals: Breakfast =
$3.00; Lunch =$4.00. Special vegetarian diets are not a problem; let us know with your payment so we can work
with you on that.
SMOKING: The camp has designated smoking area. No smoking except in that area. No alcoholic beverages
or PETS are permitted on site.
REFUND POLICY: Refunds will be made only if cancellation is done through, CIEC, in writing, prior to event
date. Because most fees paid for events are actually spent prior to the event, refunds will be made only under the
following conditions: A: For the use of Council Camps or any overnight camping event, a written request must be
received by Council Volunteer Services 30 calendar days before the event. The written request, submitted to
Volunteer Services, must be in writing by the person who submitted the original reservation. The only exception is i
case of emergency, injury, or illness. The exception request must be in writing and verified by a parent and/or
guardian and a physician. The maximum available refund under this provision will be 50 % of the total fee paid by
the individual. Cancellation requests received by the required deadline, stated above, will result in a full refund
minus a non-refundable, non-transferable fee.
